Stock Control Monitor

An enhanced Stock Control Monitor, previously only available for customers with the Stock Forecasting module, is now available to all customers with axis diplomat 2010 and Software Assurance.

The Stock Control Monitor works very much like an interactive Stock Report. It allows you to view, sort and filter using an extensive selection of columns, including stock figures, pricing, attributes and sales group/product group. You can then drill down into individual stock items.

You can also, for example, by setting the appropriate filters, choose to view just the stock items that can be purchased from a particular supplier:

Customers who previously had the Stock Control Monitor as part of their Stock Forecasting module will find additional developments released under axis diplomat 2010 Software Assurance:

a) The Stock Control Monitor is now also able to show Stock Turn information with three additional columns of information showing sales for the last 12 months, the average stock on hand over the last 12 months and the Stock Turn (last 12 months sales / average stock on hand over last 12 months).

b) Customers with the Price Feeds module can now select to show Individual Supplier Stock - when enabled, extra columns are added showing the stock levels for the first five suppliers selected in the suppliers filter.

Other Developments Released to axis diplomat Customers with Software Assurance

Document Designer Enhancements

Traditionally, documents produced with the Document Designer have been in two formats - one designed for plain paper (also suitable for emailing) and one for headed notepaper which might, for example, exclude your company logo and address. There is now a system parameter to allow you to specify that you only require the plain paper variant. This has two benefits - firstly, it typically doubles the speed with which Document Designer documents are created and, secondly, reduces the amount of storage space required for archived documents.

This can be configured on a document-by-document basis within the document options in the Supervisor Functions > Amend Company Parameters:

Plain Paper Document Options

Gap Analysis by Postcode and by Country

For customers with the Campaign Management module, Gap Analysis has been enhanced to allow you to report only those customers that fall within certain countries or postcode regions.

Delivery Methods by Location

Customers with the Multi-Location Stock module can now specify, for each Delivery Method, whether it applies to all locations or just one specific location. This is ideal if, for example, you have two warehouses in different locations, and use different carriers at each location. Another example would be if you only allowed customer collections from one warehouse since you could create a Delivery Method for "Collection" and only allow it at that one location.

Sales Order Entry Enhancements

The Sales History option for adding items to a Sales Order or Quotation now shows the historical actual cost as well as the product group.

Convert Quote to Order can now issue warnings if the quote contains stock items with Urgent Stock Notes.

Purchase Requirements Enhancements

The Maintain Purchase Requirements function will now indicate which stock items contain Stock Notes.

Additional Functionality for Sales Order Processing Kits

Customers with the SOP Kits module and Software Assurance can now specify, on a kit-by-kit basis, whether the kit item itself is added to a sales order, or just its components. This was previously a system-wide configuration.

Stock Traceability Enhancements

Customers with the Stock Traceability module can now set a parameter to prefix serial numbers with "S/N" on invoices. This is particularly desirable for customers with very short serial numbers, where the serial number on its own is not immediately recognisable as a serial number.

Where Batch Traceability is used in conjunction with Best Before End Dates, you can now also record the minimum acceptable shelf life by Product Group. Goods Received functions warn the user if Best Before End Dates are entered which do not meet the minimum requirements.

Warehousing Enhancements

The system now allows you to prioritise the bin locations offered by the hand-held picking function. This allows you, for example, to prioritise those bin locations nearest the ground, to speed up the picking process.

"Allow" Permissions as well as "Deny" Permissions

User security permissions have traditionally worked on a "Deny" basis, in which the system assumes that a user is allowed access to everything unless you specifically deny them access. You can now also explicitly grant access to a user.

The benefit of this development is if, for example, you have a user that needs all of the same access to the system as everyone in the "Sales Admin" group but also needs access to one other part of the system, you can now still add them to the "Sales Admin" group. They inherit all of thar group's permissions but additionally you can then grant them access to other parts of the system as required.
