With almost constant price and stock availability feeds coming in from all of your principle distributors, the system is capable of choosing the best supplier for a given order based on factors such as who has stock and delivery charges - for example, supplier A may be cheaper for a given order unless the customer has requested pre-10am next day delivery, when supplier B may be cheaper.
All of this purchasing intelligence means that you are always be buying from the best supplier - automatically.
Finally, because the consumables market is so competitive, getting the right selling price is critical - a few pence too high and you can hit the number of orders; a few pence too low and you start making a loss on every order! By building price calculation rules into the feed system, axis diplomat can recalculate your selling prices based on marking up an aggregate of your key suppliers cost prices (but possibly only those with current stock).
